Current Travel Situation

Guam to Norway: What You Need to Know

Norway is a Schengen member. US citizens from Guam have unrestricted short-stay access. Norway has a longstanding partnership with the United States through NATO and is home to some of the world's most spectacular fjord landscapes and the northern lights in the Arctic Circle.

How to Get There

From Guam (GUM) to Oslo (OSL) via Tokyo (NRT) and Frankfurt (FRA) on Lufthansa and SAS, or via Seattle (SEA) and London (LHR). Total journey from Guam is approximately 24 to 30 hours.

Money & Banking

Norway uses the Norwegian Krone (NOK). Cards are almost universally accepted. Budget 150 to 220 EUR equivalent per day. Norway is one of the most expensive Schengen destinations. ATMs are available but rarely needed.

Practical Tips

Travel on your US passport. Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL) connects to major European and some US hubs. Norway is very expensive. Best visited June to August for outdoor activities or November to February for the northern lights. Book fjord tours and accommodation well in advance for summer.
