How to Get There
From Tahiti Faaa (PPT) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) or Hanoi (HAN) via Singapore (SIN) or Bangkok (BKK). Connect through Los Angeles (LAX) on Air Tahiti Nui then via Asian hubs. Air France via Paris (CDG) also serves Vietnam.

Vietnam uses the Vietnamese Dong (VND). Cash is widely used throughout Vietnam. ATMs are available in cities and tourist areas. Budget $30 to $60 USD per day. Vietnam offers excellent value for money.
Practical Tips
Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Hanoi (HAN) are the main international entry airports. Vietnam has excellent street food and vibrant culture. Best visited from November to April in the south. Carry some Vietnamese Dong (VND) for markets and local transport.
