From Tahiti Faaa (PPT) to Paris (CDG) on Air Tahiti Nui. From CDG, Air France and Iberia fly frequently to Madrid (MAD) in approximately 2 hours and Barcelona (BCN) in approximately 1.5 hours. The Paris-Barcelona TGV is a scenic train option.

Spain uses the Euro (EUR). Cards are widely accepted. Budget 80 to 130 EUR per day. ATMs are available everywhere. Tipping 5 to 10% at restaurants is appreciated.

Practical Tips

Travel on your French passport. Madrid Barajas (MAD) and Barcelona El Prat (BCN) are Spain's main international airports. The AVE high-speed train connects Paris to Barcelona in approximately 6.5 hours and Paris to Madrid in approximately 10 hours via Lyon. Spain is best visited from March to June or September to November.
