From Tahiti Faaa (PPT) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) on Air Tahiti Nui. From CDG, Air France and Aegean Airlines fly directly to Athens (ATH) in approximately 3 to 4 hours. Greek islands are reached by domestic flights or ferries from Athens.

Greece uses the Euro (EUR). Cards are accepted at hotels and larger restaurants. Cash is preferred at tavernas and markets. Budget 70 to 120 EUR per day. ATMs are widely available in cities and tourist areas.

Travel on your French passport. Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (ATH) has good connections to Paris CDG. Book island ferries well in advance for summer travel. Greece's Aegean and Ionian islands are best visited from June to September. Greek cuisine is excellent and affordable.
