Cook Islands to Vietnam: What You Need to Know

Vietnam introduced its e-Visa system and progressively expanded eligible nationalities. Cook Islands passport holders can apply entirely online without visiting a Vietnamese embassy, making travel to Vietnam significantly easier.

How to Get There

Cook Islands nationals with New Zealand citizenship can also apply for Vietnam's e-Visa under the same process.

Money & Banking

Vietnam uses the Vietnamese Dong (VND). ATMs are available in cities. Cards are accepted in upscale hotels and restaurants; cash is essential for markets, street food, and rural areas.

Practical Tips

Vietnam e-Visas are accepted at most international airports, land borders, and seaports; check the list of accepted entry points before travel. Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang are the main entry airports. Vietnamese cuisine and landscapes make it a top Southeast Asian destination.
