For an eligible visa-free visit, no visa fee or advance tourist visa application is required. Prepare a valid passport, onward travel, accommodation and sufficient funds for entry checks. Complete the free TDAC through the official Immigration portal within three days including your arrival day, unless exempt. The declaration is separate from a visa.
If your purpose or planned stay falls outside the exemption, apply for the appropriate visa through the official Thai eVisa service and the mission responsible for your location before travelling.

Chinese tourists do not need the old paid 15-day visa-on-arrival arrangement for an eligible visa-exempt visit. Chinaโs embassy confirms that Thailandโs September 2026 change preserves the bilateral visa exemption effective since March 2024.
