How to Get There
No direct flights connect Afghan airports to Spain. Common routings go via Dubai (DXB) with Emirates then connect to Madrid Barajas (MAD) or Barcelona El Prat (BCN), or via Istanbul (IST) with Turkish Airlines then Spanish cities. Doha (DOH) via Qatar Airways with onward Air France or Iberia flights is another option. From Islamabad, connect via Gulf hubs. Total journey time is typically 12 to 16 hours from the region.

Spain uses the euro (EUR). Visa and Mastercard are universally accepted. Spain is one of western Europe's more affordable destinations: budget meals from €8 to €12, mid-range restaurants €15 to €25.
